When losing power is not an option.
No hospital, data center, or production facility can go without a constant power supply. The consequences of a power outage can be disastrous, and that's precisely why KINOLT's patented technique is trusted all around the globe. In case of a power failure, however short it may be, these back-up power units take over control within mere milliseconds and provide a carefree transition to KINOLT's uninterruptible power supply.
KINOLT was founded in 1984 by a group of inspired engineers under the name Euro-Diesel with its headquarters located in Liege. In 2015, the British investment company 3i took over the fast-growing company. A significant player in that world and amongst others owner of ACTION, the fastest-growing European retailer.
The challenge
We carried out the rebrand from Euro-Diesel to KINOLT within only a few months. The name is formed by a combination of KIN(etic energy) and (v)OLT. KINOLT's power supply system is described as Dynamic UPS and uses a flywheel driven by a diesel engine. Static UPS is the rivaling technique that operates massive racks with batteries, so-called battery farms. There's no need to explain the significant ecological footprint of this system.
The most significant challenges:
Taking care of the worldwide rollout of the new brand
The development of the required brand guidelines
Setting up a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
Setting up an internal launch campaign and kick-off event (Day 1)
Execute the external launch campaign
Accompanying trade fair participation, design of exhibition booth
Design for all of KINOLT's brand assets: from buildings and machines to fleet and containers
Design, development and maintenance of KINOLT's new website
Launching an online platform for digital marketing and gated content
Public relations, interviews, case studies
